Ukraine dominates in EU egg imports

Ukraine has become the leading supplier of eggs to the markets of the EU countries having exceeded the U.S. export volumes, portalspozywczy.pl reports.

Ukraine has provided 38% of the total imports (as of early 2018).

"The statistics of the European Commission proves that only in January 2018 the EU countries imported 874 tons of eggs and canned goods from Ukraine, which is several times more than in January 2018," the report says.

Previously it was reported that Ovostar Union's shell eggs exports went up by 68% to 138 mln units.
