33.8 MT of grains exported from Ukraine

From the beginning of MY2017/18, as of May 2, 2018, Ukraine exported 33.82 million tons of grain, which is 3.39 million tons less than over the same period last year.

The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine informs that wheat exports for the reporting period amounted to 15.09 million tons, which is 717 thou. tons less than over the corresponding period last year.

Since the beginning of MY2017/18, Ukraine exported 4.14 million tons of barley (991 thou. tons less) and 14.39 million tons of corn (1.67 million tons less).

Rye exports for the reporting period amounted to 32.7 thou. tons.

Reference: IGC informed that the forecast for global grain production in MY2018/19 had reduced by 2 million tons to 739 million tons.
