Egg exports in Jan-Apr increased 1.7 times

Ukraine in January-April 2018 exported 29.33 thou. tons of eggs, which is 1.71 times more than the exported volume over the same period last year.
According to the data of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, in monetary terms, egg exports amounted to USD 28.11 million vs USD 14.1 million in January-April 2017.
The major importers of Ukrainian eggs are the UAE (USD 9.79 million), Iraq (USD 5.79 million) and Qatar (USD 2.94 million). Exports to these countries amounted to 10.22 thou. tons, 6.04 thou. tons and 3.07 thou. tons of eggs, respectively.
Earlier it was reported that Ukraine had become the leading supplier of eggs to the markets of the EU countries. Ukraine provided 38% of the total imports (as of early 2018).
