Grain production in Ukraine in 2018-19 to increase 2.2 MT — IGC

The International Grains Council (IGC) projects an increase in Ukrainian grain production in MY2018/19 by 2.2 million tons to 63.5 million tons, UAC writes.

"Such growth should be ensured by a 3.3 million tons increase in corn production, while wheat harvested volumes might drop by 0.8 million tons," analysts note.

At the same time, soybean production forecasts in MY2018/19 stand at 3.7 million tons, which is 0.3 million tons less as compared to MY2017/18.

Previously it was reported that the global grain production forecast in MY2018/19 had increased 3 million tons to 742 million tons.
