The Priazovsky region produces a quarter of agricultural output

The advantage of the Priazovsky region is the proximity of the location to the main production areas, and it accounts for about a quarter of the total agricultural output in Ukraine, APK-Inform writes.

"In particular, this region produces 21% of grain crops, and 27% of oilseeds," says Anna Tanskaya, Head of the Grain Markets Department at APK-Inform Agency.

According to her, the leaders of agricultural production are Kharkov and Dnepropetrovsk regions.

"At the same time, in recent years there is a slight decrease in the volumes of grain crops gross yield in these areas. Grain production in Donetsk and Lugansk regions during the last 3 seasons is yet characterized by stable growth," Anna Tanskaya added.

It is noted that the Priazovsky region, along with the whole Ukraine, is gradually increasing the volume of agricultural production and processing capacities. In addition, about 20% of the elevator capacity of Ukraine is concentrated in this region. All these factors, according to the expert, indicate the prospects for further development of the Priazovsky region.
