Soybean meal exports in April boosted 80%

In April 2017/18, the export of soybean meal from Ukraine reached 59,3 thou. tons, which is 79.1% above the relevant period in 2017 (33.1 thou. tons), which was supported by active purchases by such importers as Belarus, Azerbaijan, Libya and Georgia, UkrAgroConsult reports.

Since the beginning of the current season (September-April), about 265 thou. tons of soybean meal have been exported, which is a 24.3% higher volume than over the corresponding period of 2016/17 and is the maximum indicator for the reported period.

The following states remain the key importers of Ukrainian soybean meal in 2017/18:

• EU — 35%;
• Belarus — 31%;
• Azerbaijan — 12%;
• Georgia — 10%.
