2.1 MT of rapeseed traded abroad in Jul-Apr

In the period from July to April of MY2017/18, 2.09 million tons of rapeseed were exported, which significantly exceeds the export volume of the last three seasons, yet it is 20.5% lower the record level for the corresponding period of the season 2008/09 (2.6 million tons).

UkrAgroConsult reports that the volume of export deliveries of rapeseed in April of MY2017/18 dropped to 7.4 thou. tons against 11 thou. tons a month earlier and 50.5 thou. tons in April 2017.

In MY 2017/18, export geography has not changed:

• the EU — 82% of the total volume;
• Pakistan — 9%;
• Bangladesh — 3%;
• the U.A.E. — 3%;
• Israel — 1%;
• Iran — 1%.

In the regions, rapeseed harvesting continues. The productivity is at the level of 1.61 t/ha, which is slightly lower as compared with last year. Rapeseed harvesting in 2017 started in late June.
