Glencore Agriculture begins construction of a railway in Kharkiv region

The Kolos company, which is a structural division of Glencore Agriculture group of companies, is about to start the construction of a new railroad sidetrack.

An investment project for the construction of a new railroad track begins in Kharkiv region.

Kolos received the technical conditions from Ukrzaliznytsia for the construction of a new railroad connecting the oil extraction plant of the enterprise (Peresechnoye settlement, Kharkiv region) with the Peresechnaya station of the Southern Railway.

"The construction of the railway will ensure the efficiency of operations and the future modernization of the plant. Glencore Agriculture immediately starts the construction project, counting on the full interest of Ukrzaliznytsia in the rapid implementation of this initiative," the company stresses.

The company noted that the successful solution of the issues of infrastructure development, rolling stock renovation and improvement of the legislative regulation of the transport industry is a prerequisite for further investment in the agro-industrial complex and the economy of Ukraine. According to the company, the issuance of technical conditions in a short time and transparent procedures demonstrates the effectiveness of the reforms that are implemented by Ukrzaliznytsya and the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine.

Note: Kolos manages the oil extraction plant with a capacity of 850 tons of sunflower processing per day in Peresechnoe of Kharkiv region.
