Ukrzaliznytsya to shut down 27 grain stations

Ukrzaliznytsya plans to close 27 grain stations for freight operation. This issue has been discussed with the market participants and the European Business Association (EBA), CTS reports.

Among the stations in the shut-down-list are:

  • Lviv Railway: Komarno, Gody-Turka, Malinsk, Mostiska 1, Chortkiv;
  • Pridneprovskaya Railway: Nezabudino, Tik, Kudashevka, Pichugino, Belmanka, Pysmennaya, Loshkarevka;
  • South-Western Railway: Altynivka, Ostrog, Yanpol, Suholesy, Sitkovtsy;
  • Southern Railway: Golovashevka, Abazovka, Maksimovka;
  • Odessa Railway: Vysokopole, Lotskino, Trepovka, Novopoltavka, Gudzovka;
  • Donetsk railway: Zhelannaya, Gavrilovka.

Another 41 stations will be closed for freight operations from July to December 2018 with the subsequent restoration, provided the availability of applications for the average daily loading/unloading of 5 wagons per day for a period of at least 3 months.

24 stations will be closed for freight operations from July to December 2018, with a subsequent restoration, under the condition of availability of applications for the average daily loading/unloading of 10 wagons per day for a period of at least 6 months.
