Ukrainian grain exports since the start of 2018/19 reach 1 million tons

Since the beginning of MY2018/19, as of July 18, 2018, Ukraine exported 891 thou. tons of grain, which is 362 thou. tons more than over the relevant period of the previous marketing year.

The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine informs that the exported crops over the reporting period are as follows:

  • wheat — 278 thou. tons (84 thou. tons more than over the corresponding period of MY2017/18);
  • barley — 269 thou. tons (101 thou. tons less);
  • corn — 344 thou. tons (345 thou. tons less).

Previously it was reported that as of July 16, 2018, Ukrainian agrarians continued harvesting early grain and leguminous crops, which was carried out on the area of 4.77 million hectares or 50% of the forecast. 14.72 million tons of new crop are already harvested.
