A new EUR 17 mln biogas plant to be launched in Odessa region

In Odessa region, a new biogas plant will be put into operation in a month. This is informed by the Deputy Head of the Odessa Regional Administration Svetlana Shatalova on her Facebook page.

Start-up and adjustment works are carried out at the site. The biogas complex is worth EUR 17 million and there are plans for building four more of such complexes.

According to Interfax-Ukraine, the complex is designed for processing waste and silage into biogas for the production of electricity and heat energy. The designed capacity of the complex is 5 MW.

The company Vimeksim is the investor of the complex construction.

Reference: the agri-industrial holding Myronivsky Hliboproduct (MHP) will launch the first phase of a biogas plant by the end of 2018. The plant will produce 10 MW.
