MHP launches the first phase of a biogas plant by the end of 2018

The agri-industrial holding Myronivsky Hliboproduct (MHP) will launch the first phase of a biogas plant by the end of 2018.

This year, the first phase of construction of the biogas complex should be completed. And by the end of 2018, it will be put into operation. The biogas complex will reach its maximum capacity in 2019.

"The biogas plant will produce 10 thousand kW. The produced electricity will be supplied to the market under the green tariff," stressed Ivan Traksler, the director of MHP Eco-Energy.

He added that practically all thermal energy will be used by the processing complex. With the help of a biogas complex, the company will be able to cover 40% of natural gas consumption.

The company also plans to build another biogas plant with a capacity of 10 MW.

Previously it was reported that Vinnytsia Poultry Factory of Myronivsky Hliboproduct (MHP) had launched the second production line.
