97% of rapeseed threshed in Ukraine

As of August 1, 2018, Ukrainian agrarians are completing winter rapeseed harvesting, which is threshed in the volume of 2.4 million tons from 943 thou. hectares (97% of the forecast) with a productivity of 2.59 tons/ha.

The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine informs that 24.4 million tons of grain and leguminous crops are harvested so far from 7.4 million hectares (75% of the forecast) with the productivity of 2.59 tons/ha.

The volumes of harvested crops are as follows:

  • winter wheat — 18.4 mln tons from 5.2 mln hectares (81%) with the productivity of 3.53 tons/ha;
  • spring wheat — 77.6 thou. tons from 319 thou. hectares (16%), 2.52 tons/ha;
  • winter barley — 3 mln tons from 853 thou. hectares (98%), 3.5 tons/ha;
  • spring barley — 2 mln tons from 930 thou. hectares (57%), 2.17 tons/ha;
  • peas — 626 thou. tons from 360 thou. hectares (83%), 1.74 tons/ha;
  • rye — 116 thou. tons from 44 thou. hectares (30%), 2.64 tons/ha;
  • oats — 34 thou. tons from 19 thou. hectares (9%), 1.8 tons/ha;
  • spring rapeseed — 20.9 thou. tons from 13.7 thou. hectares (21%), 1.87 tons/ha.
