Ukrainian seaports reduced grain exports by 86%

In the period from August 11 to August 17, 112 thousand tons of basic crops were shipped for export by Ukrainian seaports, which is 86% less than the previous week (781 thousand tons, taking into account the update).

This was reported by APK-Inform.

The volume of the shipments of the following goods decreased:

  • wheat - up to 109 thousand tons (-79%);
  • corn - up to 3 thousand tons (-97%).

Barley was not shipped for export last week.

The largest volume of grain was exported by the port of Chernomorsk (52,000 tons) and the port of Nikolaev (26,000 tons).

Reference: since the beginning of 2018/19, Ukraine has exported 3.89 million tons of grain, which is 221 thousand tons less than during the same period last year (as of August 15, 2018).
