Ukrainian fruit and berries delivered to 50 countries in 1H 2018

In the first half of 2018, Ukraine exported fruit and berry products to more than 50 countries, including the EU countries, the Eurasian Union (except Russia), Africa, Europe and a number of Asian countries.

The State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection reports that in the indicated period Ukraine exported fruit and berry products for the amount of USD 100 million, which is 59% more than in the corresponding period in 2017.

"To expand the capabilities of Ukrainian enterprises, the work is underway to open the export of Ukrainian apples and blueberries to India, China, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and Malaysia," the report writes.

Previously it was reported that export of fruit and berry products from Ukraine was constrained by the inconsistency of phytosanitary measures with importers.
