Ukraine reduced wheat exports to 8.98 mln tons in Jan-Aug

In January-August 2018, Ukraine exported 8.98 mln tons of flour for the amount of USD 1.59 bln.

The State Fiscal Service of Ukraine (SFSU) reports that over the corresponding period of 2017, 9.31 mln tons of wheat for USD 1.48 bln were exported. Thus, last year's indicator is 0.33 mln tons higher.

The key importers of the Ukrainian wheat in the reporting period are Indonesia (USD 205.5 mln), Egypt (USD 172.84 mln) and Morocco (USD 132.57 mln).

Shipments to these countries stood at 1.16 mln tons, 973.85 thou. tons and 746.77 thou. tons of wheat, respectively.

Previously it was reported that by September 19, 2018, Ukraine had exported 7.67 million tons of grain, which is 870 thou. tons less y-o-y.
