Tomato exports from Ukraine down 29% in Jan-Sep

Ukraine in January-August 2018 exported 10.71 thou. tons of tomatoes for the amount of USD 7.98 million, which is 29% less than over the corresponding period last year.

The State Fiscal Service of Ukraine reports that the key importers are as follows:

• Belarus — USD 5.51 million (7.39 thou. tons);
• Poland — USD 1.58 million (1.79 thou. tons);
• Latvia — USD 213 thou. (285 tons).

Reference: in January-August 2018, the turnover of agricultural and food products between Ukraine and the EU countries reached USD 5.4 billion, which is USD 330 million more than in the same period last year.
