Grain exports from Ukraine since the start of 2018/19 down 1 mln tons
Ukraine since the start of MY2018/19, as of October 10, 2018, exported 10.17 million tons of grain, which is 1 million tons less y-o-y.
According to the data of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, wheat exports amounted to 6.03 million tons, which is 561 thou. tons less compared to the corresponding period last year. Barley supplies also decreased to 2.23 million tons (–1.06 million tons).
Corn exports increased by 458 thou. tons to 1.73 million tons. Rye shipments stood at 53.1 thou. tons.
The Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine and participants of the grain market for MY2018-2019 (effective since 01.07.2018) remained unchanged. Thus, the total agreed indicative volume of wheat exports is 16 million tons.
