Grain transshipment in ports declined 28%

In September, 2.2 million tons of grain were exported from the Ukrainian seaports, which is 28% lower than the corresponding indicator in August 2018 (3 million tons, taking into account the actualization of data), APK-Inform reports.

It is noted that the decline was observed in the following export positions:

The largest volumes of wheat and barley were transshipped by the TIS terminal — 366 thou. tons and 163 thou. tons, respectively. NIBULON provided for the transshipment of 86 thou. tons of corn.

Previously it was reported that the forecast for global corn exports in MY2018/19 had been increased by 1.26 million tons to 162.97 million tons as compared to the previous forecast.
