Harvest Online 2018: 5% of areas left to thresh

By November 12, 2018, grain and leguminous crops have been harvested on 14.1 mln ha or 95% of the areas. According to the Harvest Online 2018 project, 64.6 mln tons of grain have been threshed with a productivity of 4.58 tons/ha (2017: 4.13 tons/ha).

The yields are reported as follows:

  • corn — 29.4 mln tons on 3.9 mln ha (86%) with a productivity of 7.51 tons/ha (2017: 5.11 tons/ha);
  • buckwheat — 135 thou. tons on 107 thou. ha (99%) with a productivity of 1.26 tons/ha (2017: 1.09 tons/ha);
  • millet — 78 thou. tons on 51 thou. ha (97%) with a productivity of 1.54 tons/ha (2017: 1.46 tons/ha);
  • sunflower — 13.6 mln tons on 6 mln ha (99%) with a productivity of 2.25 tons/ha (2017: 2 tons/ha);
  • soybean — 4.3 mln tons on 1.7 mln ha (98%) with a productivity of 2.57 tons/ha (2017: 1.92 tons/ha);
  • sugar beet — 12.4 mln tons on 253 thou. ha (91%) with a productivity of 49.1 tons/ha (2017: 45 tons/ha). 10.5 mln tons are delivered to processing facilities.

The highest productivity of grain and leguminous crops is registered in Khmelnytsk region — 7.23 tons/ha, Vinnytsia region — 7.01 tons/ha, Cherkasy region — 6.99 tons/ha, Kyiv region — 6.53 tons/ha, Sumy region — 6.45 tons/ha and Poltava region — 6.27 tons/ha.
