Five regions dominate the Ukrainian eggs production in 2018

In January-December 2018, egg production in Ukraine amounted to 16.14 billion units, which is 4.1% more than the previous year (15.5 billion units).
The State Statistics Service of Ukraine informs that egg production by agricultural enterprises resulted in 8.9 billion units (+6.4%), by individual farms — 7.2 billion units (+1.4%).
The leading regions in egg production are as follows:
- Ivano-Frankivs'k region — 19.9%;
- Kyiv region — 14.6%;
- Kherson region — 9.9%;
- Kharkiv region — 8.9%;
- Zakarpattya region — 8.8%.
However, the production in Luhansk (-18.9%), Odesa (-17.7%) and Khmelnytsky (-16.7%) regions decreased.
