Grain export 2018/19: Ukraine shipped 27.5 mln t

Grain exports from Ukraine as of January 30th reached 27.52 million tons. The Agrarian Ministry reports that this volume is 3.75 million tons more than the indicator for the last year's comparative period.

The volumes of exported crops are as follows:

  • wheat — 11.48 million tons (0.71 mln tons less y-o-y);
  • corn — 12.16 million tons (4.59 mln tons more y-o-y);
  • barley — 3.27 million tons (0.67 mln tons less y-o-y);
  • rye — 85.3 thou. tons (72.1 thou. tons more y-o-y).

On January 25th, a coordination meeting was held at the Ministry office to discuss key proposals in the formation of the second edition of the wheat standard.
