TAS increases freight wagons fleet to 10 thousand

The TAS Group plans to increase its wagon fleet several times over the next 5-7 years. This was informed by Sergei Tigipko, the owner of the financial and industrial group TAS (TAS AGRO), in the interview for NV.

“Today we have 1.2 thou. grain hopper cars and 160 open cars, and in the future their number will be increased greatly. Now we are in search of strategic foreign investors. If we succeed, we will have major investments for the transport company. And if everything works out as I plan, in 5-7 years we can form a 10 thou. car fleet,” Sergei Tigipko commented.

According to him, the car-building industry of Ukraine experienced major difficulties in 2014-2016. At the same time, today the company in Kamenskoe city (Dnipropetrovs'k region) builds 150 open cars and 100 grain hopper cars monthly.

Earlier it was reported that during the year 2018 TAS AGRO had increased its farmland volume to 83 thou. hectares.
