March soybean processing in Ukraine turned record-high

In March of the current year, the production of soybean oil by large and medium-sized enterprises in Ukraine resulted in a record monthly volume for the country — 31.1 thousand tons, 13 per cent higher from the previous month (27.7 thousand tons) and 49.8 per cent higher from March 2018 (20.9 thousand tons), UkrAgroConsult oilseeds market analyst Svetlana Kupreeva comments.

In July-January 2018/19, the production of soybean oil, as expected, exceeded the last year's maximum and increased to 161 thousand tons.

Analysts have reduced the forecast for soybean processing given the trends of the current season when the production of soybean oil is growing, however not as fast as previously expected.

Earlier it was reported that in eight months of 2018/19 (September-April), the export of sunflower oil amounted to 4.15 million tons against 3.71 million tons in 2017/18 having increased by 12 per cent.
