Grain export 2018/19: shipment topped 45 million tons

Grain exports from Ukraine as of May 22nd reached 45.41 million tons. The Agrarian Ministry reports that this volume is 26.12 per cent (9.4 million tons) more than the indicator for the last year's comparative period.

The volumes of exported crops are as follows:

• wheat — 14.77 million tons;
• corn — 26.39 million tons;
• barley — 3.49 million tons;
• rye — 88.2 thou. tons.

As previously reported, by April 23rd, early spring grain and leguminous crops in Ukraine had been sown on an area of 2.1 million hectares, or 93 pct of the projected areas.
