Poland dominates pork supplies to Ukraine in Jan-May

In January-May of the current year, Ukraine imported 5.2 thou. tons of pork from Poland. The supply is worth USD 9,7 million.

The State Fiscal Service of Ukraine (SFSU) reports that pork exporters to Ukraine also include the following countries:

• Germany — 1.9 thou. tons, USD 3,5 million;
• the Netherlands — 1 thou. tons, USD 1,9 million;
• others — 2.2 thou. tons, USD 4 million.

In the 5-month period of Y2019, Ukraine imported 10.3 thou. tons of pork for the amount of USD 19,1 million.

Poultry meat will become the world's most consumed meat protein in 2019 owing to the spread of African swine fever throughout China.
