Flour production reduced in Jan-June

In January-June 2019, the production of wheat and wheat-rye flour in Ukraine decreased to 769 thou. tons, 6% less from the corresponding period of 2018, the APK-Inform consultancy reports with reference to the State Statistics Service.

In June, flour production reached 114 thou. tons, 10% less from May 2019 and 0.3% less from the prior year's comparative period.

"In January-June 2019, the production of bread and bakery products decreased by 9.2% against the corresponding indicator in 2018 and amounted to 432 thou. tons. In June, 68.9 thou. tons of breadstuffs were produced, 5.1% lower than the previous month and 12.7% less from June 2019,” the message says.

The volume of domestic cereals utilization in Ukraine by the end of 2018/19 reached 21.3 million tons, 3% less from the previous season and 16% lower from the average for the previous 5 years.
