First shipment of Ukrainian soybean delivered to Kenya

In June 2019, Ukraine exported the first-ever consignment of soybeans to Kenya. The volume of shipments to this African country in the indicated period amounted to 16.3 thousand tons, the APK-Inform consultancy reports.

In 2018/19, 245 thousand tons of food wheat, 10.2 thousand tons of peas, 4.6 thousand tons of sunflower oil, and over 3 thousand tons of wheat flour were delivered from Ukraine to Kenya.

Earlier it was reported that in September-June 2018/19 of sunflower oil exports from Ukraine had reached a record high of 5.19 million tons (+14.5% compared to the previous year). The increase in shipments was driven by record harvests and domestic processing volumes.
