Harvest Online 2019: early grains yield leading regions

By August 12th, harvesting of early grain and leguminous crops in Ukraine was carried out on the area of 9.6 million hectares or 97%. The crop reached 38.9 million tons.

The highest yield of early grain and leguminous crops is registered in the farms of Khmelnytsky — 5.5 t/ha, Cherkasy — 5.48 t/ha, Vinnytsya — 5.46 t/ha and Ternopil — 5.37 t/ha.

The highest crop was harvested in Odesa — 3.1 million tons, Zaporizhzhya — 3 million tons, Kharkiv — 2.8 million tons, Dnipropetrovsk — 2.7 million tons and Mykolaiv — 2.6 million tons.

According to the Harvest Online 2019 project, the new crop volumes are as follows:

  • wheat — 27.6 million tons on 6.6 million hectares or 96% yielding 4.17 t/ha;
  • barley — 8.7 million tons on 2.5 million hectares or 97% yielding 3.45 t/ha;
  • peas — 583 thou. tons on 257 thou. hectares or 100% yielding 2.27 t/ha;
  • rye — 294 thou. tons on 106 thou. hectares or 90% yielding 2.78 t/ha;
  • oats — 325 thou. tons on 130 thou. hectares or 71% yielding 2.5 t/ha;
  • winter rapeseed — 3.1 million tons on 1.24 million hectares or 99% yielding of 2.64 t/ha.
