Harvest Online 2019: four regions report the highest grains yield in Ukraine

As of August 27th, harvesting of grain and leguminous crops in Ukraine was carried out on the area of 10 mln ha or 66%. The crop reached 39.2 mln t using the average yield of 3.92 t/ha (2018: 3.92 t/ha).

The highest yield is reported in Khmelnytsky — 5.5 t/ha, Cherkasy — 5.47 t/ha, Vinnytsya — 5.44 t/ha and Ternopil — 5.05 t/ha regions.

According to the Harvest Online 2019 project, the new crop volumes are as follows:

  • early grain and leguminous crops — 39.1 mln t on 9.9 mln ha or 99% yielding 3.93 t/ha;
  • buckwheat — 6 thou. t on 5 thou. ha or 8% of 68 thou. ha yielding 1.18 t/ha;
  • millet — 50 thou. t on 27 thou. ha or 30% of 90 thou. ha yielding 1.81 t/ha;
  • sunflower — 121 thou. t on 81 thou. ha of 5.8 million hectares yielding 1.49 t/ha.
