Harvest Online 2019: southern regions lead the campaign

As of August 28th, harvesting of grain and leguminous crops in Ukraine was carried out on the area of 10 mln ha or 66% of the total. The crop reached 39.3 mln t using the average yield of 3.91 t/ha (2018: 3.46 t/ha).

The highest crop is reported in Odesa and Zaporizhzhya regions — 3.1 mln t each, Kharkiv — 2 mln t, Dnipropetrovsk — 2.7 mln t and Mykolaiv — 2.6 mln t.

By the Harvest Online 2019 project, the new crop volumes are as followed:

  • early grain and leguminous crops — 39.2 mln t on 9.96 mln ha or 99% yielding 3.93 t/ha;
  • buckwheat — 11 thou. t on 9 thou. ha or 13% yielding 1.26 t/ha;
  • millet — 64 thou. t on 34 thou. ha or 38% yielding 1.85 t/ha;
  • sunflower — 235 thou. t on 142 thou. ha of 5.8 mln ha yielding 1.65 t/ha.
