Sowing Online 2019/20: winter crops planting started in most of the regions

As of September 11, almost all regions of Ukraine have started sowing winter crops, having covered 364 thou. ha or 5% of the total of 7.3 mln ha.

By the data of the Sowing Online 2019/20 Project, the sown areas by the winter crops are as follows:

• wheat — 338 thou. ha or 5% of the total of 6.2 mln ha;
• rye — 16 thou. ha or 14% of 122 thou. ha;
• barley — 9 thou. ha or 1% of 920 thou. ha;
• rapeseed — 892 thou. ha or 83%.
