Harvest Online 2019: first million tons of sugar beet done

As of September 23rd, 2019, 990 thou. t of sugar beet were harvested on an area of 22 thou. hectares, 10% of the total area under the crop, using the average yield of 45 t/ha.

By the reporting date, harvesting of grain and leguminous crops in Ukraine was conducted on the area of 10.8 mln ha or 70% of the total. The crop reached 43.3 mln t using the average yield of 4.03 t/ha (2018: 3.6 t/ha).

By the Harvest Online 2019 project, the new crop volumes are as followed:

  • early grain and leguminous crops — 39.3 mln t on 9.97 mln ha or 99.9% of the total area;
  • buckwheat — 68 thou. t on 51 thou. ha or 76%;
  • millet — 133 thou. t on 71 thou. ha or 79%;
  • corn — 3.6 mln t on 600 thou. ha or 12%;
  • soybean — 1.7 mln t on 742 thou. ha or 47% yielding 2.3 t/ha;
  • sunflower — 8.3 mln t on 3.7 mln ha or 63% yielding 2.26 t/ha;
  • sugar beet — 990 thou. t on 22 thou. ha or 10% yielding 45 t/ha.
