Sugar beet processing crossed 1 mln t

As of September 24th, 2019, plants in Ukraine produced 133.8 thou. t of sugar.
The National Association of Sugar Producers of Ukraine (Ukrsugar) informs that 1.02 mln t of sugar beet were processed by the reporting date.
17 enterprises have started sugar production season.
As a reminder, only 32 plants will be launched this season, less from previous years. The number of factories operating in the season was cut by overproduction and low sugar price observed recently.
