Sowing Online 2019/20: winter grains 40 pct planted

As of September 26th, Ukrainian agrarians sowed winter grains on 2.9 mln ha or 39% of the forecasted 7.3 mln ha (2018: 2.9 mln ha).

By the data of the Sowing Online 2019/20 Project, the sown areas by the winter crops are as follows:

• wheat — 2.6 mln ha or 42% of the total of 6.2 mln ha;
• rye — 69 thou. ha or 56% of 122 thou. ha;
• barley — 147 thou. ha or 16% of 920 thou. ha;
• rapeseed — 994 thou. ha or 93%.
