The average wage in agriculture up a quarter in Jan-Aug

In January-August 2019, the average monthly salary in the agricultural sector of Ukraine increased by 23% from the comparative period in 2018 and amounted to UAH 8.430.

Under the data of the State Statistics Service, as compared to July of the current year (UAH 9.850), the average salary in the agricultural sector decreased by 24% to UAH 8.703.

The average salary over 8 months of 2019 in agriculture, forestry and fisheries was UAH 8.584, 18.4% higher from the relevant period of 2018. In August this year, the average salary in this segment decreased by 23% to UAH 8.796 vs. UAH 9.875 in July.
