Harvest Online 2019: corn campaign crossed 15 mln t, half of areas harvested

As of October 16th, harvesting of grain and leguminous crops in Ukraine was conducted on the area of 12.6 mln ha or 79% of the total. The crop reached 55.4 mln t using the average yield of 4.4 t/ha (2018: 4 t/ha).

By the Harvest Online 2019 project, the new crop volumes are as followed:

  • buckwheat — 84 thou. t on 63 thou. ha or 89%, 1.33 t/ha;
  • millet — 150 thou. t on 80 thou. ha or 87%, 1.88 t/ha;
  • corn — 15.6 mln t on 2.4 mln ha or 48%, 6.34 t/ha;
  • soybean — 3.1 mln t on 1.3 mln ha or 84%, 2.34 t/ha;
  • sunflower — 12.9 mln t on 5.3 mln ha or 91%, 2.39 t/ha;
  • sugar beet — 5 mln t on 114 thou. ha or 52%, 44.2 t/ha.
