September vegetable oil production added 9 pct

In September of the current year, vegetable oil production in Ukraine increased 8.8% from the prior year's comparative period, UkrAgroConsult reports.

Production of unrefined sunflower oil increased by 5%, refined sunflower oil by 34.2%, soybean oil by 22.3%, and rapeseed oil by 96.7%.

Over the three months of 2019/20, the production of rapeseed oil increased by almost 16% compared to the corresponding period last year.

Previously reported that harvesting of grain and leguminous crops in Ukraine by October 24th was conducted on the area of 13.5 mln ha or 88% of the total. The crop reached 62 mln t using the average yield of 4.59 t/ha (2018: 4.2 t/ha). Sunflower crop reached 13.5 mln t on 5.6 mln ha using the average yield of 2.43 t/ha.
