Harvest Online 2019: Vinnytsya region yields the most

As of October 24th, harvesting of grain and leguminous crops in Ukraine was conducted on the area of 13.5 mln ha or 88% of the total. The crop reached 62 mln t using the average yield of 4.59 t/ha (2018: 4.2 t/ha).

The highest grain yield is reported in agricultural enterprises of Vinnytsya region — 6.48 t/ha, Khmelnytsky region — 6.39 t/ha, Cherkasy region — 6.34 t/ha, Sumy region — 6.05 t/ha and Kyiv region — 6.03 t/ha.

By the Harvest Online 2019 project, the new crop volumes are as followed:

  • buckwheat — 86 thou. t on 65 thou. ha or 96%, 1.33 t/ha;
  • millet — 152 thou. t on 81 thou. ha or 90%, 1.87 t/ha;
  • corn — 21.9 mln t on 3.2 mln ha or 66%, 6.73 t/ha;
  • soybean — 3.4 mln t on 1.5 mln ha or 94%, 2.32 t/ha;
  • sunflower — 13.5 mln t on 5.6 mln ha or 95%, 2.43 t/ha;
  • sugar beet — 6.5 mln t on 149 thou. ha or 68%, 43.8 t/ha.
