Flour exports from Ukraine scale up despite the production fall

Flour export deliveries from Ukraine since the start of 2019/20 have reached 118.6 thou. t, 49.5 thou. t more from the prior year's comparative indicator, 69.1 thou. t.

The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine reports that by October 28th exports reached the following indicators:

  • wheat flour — 117.9 thou. t (up 49.3 thou. t from the comparative period of 2018/19);
  • other types of flour — 0.7 thou. tons (up 0.2 thou. t).

Flour exports in the 2018/19 season reached 301.4 thou. tons vs. 413 thousand tons in 2017/18.

In January-September of the current year, mills in Ukraine produced 1.2 mln t of wheat and wheat-rye flour, 3.1% less from the corresponding period last year.
