Grain export 2019/20: ag commodities shipment higher 40 pct

Since the start of 2019/20, Ukraine exported 20.94 mln t of staple grains. As of November 11th, commodities shipment increased by 5.95 mln t (39.7%) from the prior year's comparative period, the information and analytical portal of the agro-industrial complex of Ukraine reports.

Grain export structure in the reporting period is as followed:

  • wheat — 12.22 mln t (4.06 mln t more y-o-y);
  • barley — 3.36 mln t (411 thou. t more y-o-y);
  • corn — 5.12 mln t (1.58 mln t more y-o-y);
  • rye — 5 thou. t (59 thou. t less y-o-y).

In the 2018/19 season, grain exports from Ukraine reached 49.74 mln t. This volume is 21% (10.37 mln t) higher from the indicator for the 2017/18 comparative period (39.37 mln t).
