Harvest Online 2019: highest yielding regions of Ukraine named

As of November 14th, harvesting of grain and leguminous crops in Ukraine was conducted on the area of 14.7 mln ha or 96% of the total. The crop reached 71.4 mln t using the average yield of 4.85 t/ha (2018: 4.61 t/ha).

The highest grain yield is reported in agricultural enterprises of Cherkasy region — 6.97 t/ha, Vinnytsya region — 6.96 t/ha, Khmelnytsky region — 6.86 t/ha, Sumy region — 6.44 t/ha and Kyiv region — 6.4 t/ha.

By the Harvest Online 2019 project, the new crop volumes are as followed:

  • buckwheat — 89 thou. t on 67 thou. ha or 99%, 1.34 t/ha (2018: 1.26 t/ha);
  • millet — 158 thou. t on 87 thou. ha or 97%, 1.83 t/ha (2018: 1.54 t/ha);
  • corn — 31.4 mln t on 4.4 mln ha or 90%, 7.04 t/ha (2018: 7.54 t/ha);
  • soybean — 3.7 mln t on 1.56 mln ha or 99%, 2.34 t/ha (2018: 2.57 t/ha);
  • sunflower — 14.5 mln t on 5.8 mln ha or 99%, 2.5 t/ha (2018: 2.27 t/ha);
  • sugar beet — 8.9 mln t on 207 thou. ha or 94%, 44.1 t/ha (2018: 49.3 t/ha).
