Eggs and meat production in Ukraine scales up, dairy seen dropping

The volume of meat production in Ukraine in January-November 2019 reached 3.05 mln t (live weight), 5.8% higher from the respective period last year.

As reported by the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, meat production in agricultural enterprises of Ukraine increased by 10.4% to 2.07 mln t (1.88 mln t in the comparative period of 2018), while in households it decreased by 2.7% to 975.2 thou. t (1.02 mln t in January-November 2018).

Milk production in the country decreased by 3.7% in January-November to 9.08 mln t (–1.2% in enterprises; –4.7% in households).

Eggs production increased by 3.5% up to 15.51 bln units (+5.6% in agricultural enterprises; +1% in households).

Previously reported that chicken eggs export shipment from Ukraine in January-November of the current year was 20% higher from the prior year's comparative period, 129 thou. t in 11M 2019 vs. 107.5 thou. t for the entire 2018.
