The most expensive farmland is the land of Kherson, Mykolaiv and Odesa regions. The price for these lands will demonstrate the highest price rise after the moratorium on farmland sale in Ukraine is lifted.

This was announced by the Sluga Narody Patry's Member, Mykyta Poturaev, at a public press marathon held by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine — "The final version of the land reform."

The price growth will occur in case of investments in modern irrigation systems.

"Otherwise, productive lands may turn into steppes. There is no one to invest in land amelioration today. However, there are investors who are waiting for such an opportunity," summed up the MP.

As stated by Presidential Commissioner for Land Affairs Roman Leshchenko, The Cabinet of Ministers prepares the concept of reclamation systems recovery in Ukraine. He also noted with no sufficient investments in irrigation systems, Ukraine might end up having a serious environmental disaster.

"I can assure you that this issue is already under control by the President of Ukraine," said Roman Leshchenko.
