Sunflower oil production scaled up 14 pct

In January-November 2019, crushing plants in Ukraine produced 5.016 mln t of unrefined sunflower oil, 14.2% more from the relevant period of 2018, the State Statistics Service of Ukraine informs.

In November, the production of sunoil amounted to 595 thou. t, 10.9% higher from the corresponding month of 2018, and 0.5% higher from October 2019.

Production of margarine and edible fats in 11M 2019 reached 126 thou. t, 2.7% more vs. the relevant indicator of the previous year. In November, 12.9 thou. t of the products were produced in Ukraine, totalling 2.8% higher from the result of the same month last year and 3.4% lower than in October.

Sunflowerseed production in Ukraine in 2019/20 was forecasted at 15.5 mln t, 3% higher from the 2018/19 season. Oilseed crop harvest in 2019/20 is the highest in the last three production seasons.
