Agricultural production increase achieved in five regions of Ukraine in 2019

Agricultural production in 2019 progressed in five regions of Ukraine vs the previous year's indicators, SuperAgronom.com informs.

The highest increase was demonstrated in the following regions:

  • Zaporizhzhya (+22.6%);
  • Donetsk (+17.2%);
  • Kirovograd (+8.7%);
  • Dnipropetrovsk (+7.7%);
  • Luhansk (+7.2%).

By the proportion of the total agricultural production, Vinnytsya region dominates with 8.4% of output. Poltava region reached the indicator of 6.6%, Dnipropetrovsk — 6.2%, Kyiv — 6% and Cherkasy — 5.8%.

The record-high harvest in Ukraine was an important factor in GDP growth, with rates exceeding 4% in the second and third quarters of 2019.
