Grain export 2019/20: corn shipment 3.5 mln t higher YoY

Since the start of 2019/20, staple grains export from Ukraine has reached 37.14 mln t vs. 28.80 mln t in the prior season's relevant period.

As of Feb. 7, commodities shipment increased by 8.34 mln t from the comparative period of the previous year, the information and analytical portal of the agro-industrial complex of Ukraine reports.

Grain export structure in the reporting period is as follows:

  • wheat — 15.99 mln t (4.29 mln t more y-o-y);
  • barley — 3.9 mln t (656 thou. t more y-o-y);
  • corn — 16.78 mln t (3.73 mln t more y-o-y);
  • rye — 5 thou. t (82.2 thou. t less y-o-y).

Previously reported that the total grain storage capacity of enterprises in Ukraine increased to 51 mln t in 2019.
