Potato import in January crossed 30 thou. t

In January 2020, potato import to Ukraine totalled 31.69 thou. t for the amount of USD 5.22 mln.
According to the data of the State Customs Service of Ukraine (SCSU), the largest importers in the reporting period are as followed:
- Belarus — 25.17 thou. t worth USD 4.15 mln, 79.40% of the total supply;
- Russia — 6.08 thou. t, USD 1 mln, 19.18%;
- France — 164.8 t, USD 27 thou., 0.52%;
- other countries — 285.3 t, USD 47 thou., 0.90%.
Import of potato to Ukraine in the period of January-November 2019 totalled 207.1 thou. t worth USD 40.2 mln. In 2018 the country imported 5.7 thou. t of potato for the amount of USD 3 mln.
