As a result of targeted government export policy, duties on Ukrainian agricultural products may be cut on 20 markets. This was announced by Taras Kachka, Deputy Minister for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture, Trade Representative of Ukraine.
"In the process of policy implementation, it is expected that exports will double within 5 years, the level of duties imposed in 20 markets where the top 100 Ukrainian goods are exported will be reduced, the time of registration of export operations will be shortened from 66 hours in 2018 to 24 hours in 2024," the report says.
Export policy perspectives were discussed during the meeting of the Ministry for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture experts with exporters' representatives and the public.
At the meeting, non-governmental participants made a number of proposals, in particular, on the expediency of establishing mirror restrictions for Russian goods, access to Asian markets, the feasibility of a systematic dialogue with business to better understand the current needs of Ukrainian exporters.
