Flour trade upsized 36% since the season's start

Since the start of 2019/20, flour export shipment from Ukraine has reached 267.8 thou. t, 71 thou. t (36%) more from the prior year's comparative indicator, 196.8 thou. t.

The information and analytical portal of the agro-industrial complex of Ukraine reports that by Mar. 23 exports reached the following indicators:

  • wheat flour — 266.3 thou. t (up 70.1 thou. t from the comparative period of 2018/19);
  • other types of flour — 1.5 thou. t (up 0.6 thou. t).

Flour exports in the 2018/19 season reached 301.4 thou. t vs. 413 thou. t in 2017/18.

By 2025 the volume of world flour consumption may increase by about 20 mln t compared to the current level and reach apx. 400 mln t.

As of Mar. 23, grain export shipment from increased by 7.92 mln t (22%) from the prior year's comparative period.
